*Bellingham Pediatric Therapy is a licensed out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies.
*Please note, insurance coverage varies depending on your specific policy and plan benefits such as the copay, coinsurance, and deductible amount, and we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company directly by calling the number on the back of your ID card to see exactly what your policy covers. Thank you!
Don’t see your insurance listed above?
If your insurance is not listed above, we encourage you to explore your out-of-network benefits. We accept HSA and FSA cards and can provide you with a detailed invoice, known as a superbill, and you can then submit this paid invoice to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
Private payment and payment plans are also available. Please discuss these with our medical biller, Jessica.
Policies & FAQs
-
Your insurance carrier will determine final benefits after claims are processed. To ensure clarity on your benefits prior to beginning therapy, you may verify them by contacting your insurance company directly. It is your responsibility to notify Bellingham Pediatric Therapy immediately if there are any changes to your child’s insurance carrier or coverage while receiving services.
You are also responsible for tracking your insurance plan’s therapy visit limits and notifying Bellingham Pediatric Therapy if adjustments to your child’s therapy frequency are needed due to approaching or reaching the visit maximum.
You are responsible for any balances remaining after insurance claims are processed. It is your responsibility to ensure that Bellingham Pediatric Therapy has up-to-date insurance information. You are responsible for payment of any services not paid by insurance due to a failure to notify BPT of insurance changes, reaching the maximum benefits, not providing your insurance with any documentation required for coverage, or not submitting prior authorization in a timely manner.
-
While BPT attempts to verify your insurance plan for services prior to your appointment as a courtesy, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and facilitate referrals before the patient’s appointment.
-
Please let us know as soon as possible if your child needs to miss their scheduled appointment:
In the absence of an illness, family emergency, or inclement weather, canceling or rescheduling an appointment must be made at least 24 hours prior to the start of your child’s appointment.
Patients will be billed a $50 late cancellation fee if cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance.
Patients who miss a scheduled appointment without providing the office advance notice will be billed a “No Show” fee of $50.
Patients who “No Show” to three appointments within a 3-month period will be taken off of the therapist’s ongoing schedule and will be placed on the consultation list.
Sick Policy:
If you or your child are experiencing a fever or chills (in the past 24 hours), body aches, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, vomiting, or diarrhea, please call and cancel your appointment to help keep our patients and staff safe.
We can change your in-clinic visit to a virtual visit or reschedule your visit to a later date.
-
When inclement weather conditions are anticipated or occur, patients scheduled for in-clinic appointments will be switched to a telehealth appointment. In the event of inclement weather, families are expected to attend their scheduled telehealth appointments as planned.
Exceptions will only be made if:
Power outages in the area prevent the patient or the therapist from participating
Families have spoken with BPT and have agreed that telehealth is not suitable for the patient.
Families are responsible for contacting BPT via phone call or email if they do not have access to a camera, wifi connection, or hotspot.
